There is a show on the Comedy Central cable network called South Park. It spares no sacred cows as it skewers society and politics (religion fits in there somewhere as well). James Taranto, Wall Street Journal columnist, seemingly watches the show as he finds things in life that imitate South Park (he also finds things in life that imitate The Onion).
The forward is written by Brian Boitano. It seems he was in the inaugural episode. Or is there a running gag asking "What Would Brian Do?" And is this a spoof on the "WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?)" paraphernalia?
In essence the book is a compendium of wise sayings by the South Park cast on various things in life. The quotes are broken up into the following categories:
- I've Learned Something Today
- We're Gonna Make so Much Money You Guys
- Best Friends Forever
- Cultural Diversity Kicks Ass
- Hippies Suck
- God Bless America
- Are You There, God? It's Me, Jesus.
- Class Dismissed
- Drugs Are Bad MMKay?
- I'm Calling Child Protective Services
- Who Put His Hoo Hoo Dilly in Your Cha Cha?
Devotees of South Park will enjoy this guide to life.
