This is an interesting collection of topics. The author is a radio guy who aired his grievances over the years. But a radio audience is limited (well, in pre-internet days it was; now I can listen to the radio station my lovely lady in Adelaide listens to). So the author put his rants to paper and shares them with the world.

You know you are in for a treat when the opening rant is about gas pumps. Some are pre-pay, some let you pump then pay. Usually the pre-pay arrangement prevents drive-offs (although I know one gas station in central Wisconsin that had pre-pay because a clerk often got confused when people bought items after buying gas and ended up not charging for the gasoline).

Many of the "rants" are observations made sitting at home and looking out the window. Wild life has parties in the backyard, never inviting the author. Others are about personal shortcomings. He admits that, while it doesn't look that way, he has spent a significant amount of his life in the gym. He repeats mistakes.

You might enjoy the one about how the check bounces. And isn't it funny that the bank accepts the checks in an order to create more rather than fewer bounced checks?

This was a very humorous book and I enjoyed it. You can read them in order or just jump around. They are a delight to read.

Then again, I could be wrong. You must decide for yourself.
