This book is part of the Random House/ZonderKidz I Can Read series. This title is labeled a "1" and features "Simple sentences for eager new readers".

Children learn about colors in this book. The colors begin with the primary colors and what we see colored in the primaries. Then the book goes to mixing the primaries and the panoply of colors one can make with mixing primary colors. This is a simple exercise done by printers every day as well as all the colors on your PC--mixing the three primary colors in varying degrees.

What I missed is that while the rainbow has many colors, the book didn't mention that phenomena or the promise associated with it. Overall the book is an excellent primer on colors.
