This book's origins actually go back. The author, looking for a job, was hired to teach non-English speakers how to speak English. Of course the steps and discipline to learn English from another language can be reversed as well. Thus English speakers can learn another language!
At the heart of this is how we learn a language. When you learned your native tongue, did you stop to think about what you said? Usually not. Usually we learned from sheer repetition and practice. Some people use this same approach in learning new words. Select a new word for a day and find any reason throughout that day to use that word. Simple repetition.
This guide helps a student learn a new language. It might also inspire one to get into teaching others a new language! I have been volunteering at a church English as a Second Language (ESL) class. But perhaps my current joblessness can be solved through this. I do love words and languages, after all.
